You make me want to sing.
MADE BY RACHEL SANDERFORD 34THPARALLEL MAGAZINE ISSUE 101
You make me want to sing
And I’ve been told I can’t carry a tune
You make me want to cook
And I’ve tasted my food
You make me want to reach out and comfort you
And I’ve been called cold-hearted
You make me believe in happy endings
And I’ve only ever known tragedies
You scare me
And I don’t scare easy
But what you really do is
you don’t make me into anything
But who I was always meant to be
Who I always truly was

My mother has asked me why I don’t write happy stories, but to me, they always end in some kind of happiness. I have a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Emerson College. Before Emerson I was with the New Orleans Writers Workshop. PAYPAL ME
