Would I still be pure?

My adolescent son, who spoke with quirky words, asked if I had ever smoked cigarettes. He said I was “pure”. Me and him were taking my daughter’s 17-year-old friend to buy cigarettes. I pondered “pure” while my daughter laughed wildly and rocked in the back seat.
