The car radio always seemed to play the same song. It was as if that became our song. We found happiness sitting inside a car blasting Frank Sinatra, and going through the car wash. That is how our little fraction of the family found stability in the instability of divorce.
My parents continued to make me feel as if it was normal that mommy and daddy did not live together. Every weekend we would do the same things that even close families did not even enjoy doing together. It was a childhood full of movies, raspa runs, road trips, and Frank Sinatra blasting through the radio.
