The swimming pool is roughly in the center of Armenia by Lake Sevan, one of the largest fresh-water high-altitude lakes in Eurasia. I spent a day driving around the lake visiting a number of ancient 13-14th century buildings. And the swimming pool.
I teach photography, and a former student, Jason Perez, invited me to go with him to Armenia where he was teaching drone photography and mapping at a technology and design center in Yerevan.
Jason and his assistant, Saul, and I, all of us photographers, rented a car on weekends and explored the countryside.
